What we build with
Materials chosen for the long run.
We select every material the way a parent selects anything for their home — with care, patience, and a refusal to compromise.
Solid & engineered wood
We use FSC-certified solid oak, ash, and birch alongside responsibly sourced engineered wood. Each batch is tested for formaldehyde emissions and meets CARB Phase 2 standards.
Natural linen & cotton
Our upholstery fabrics are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — free from harmful substances and safe for children and pets. Linen is pre-washed for softness and long-term colour stability.
Non-toxic finishes
All paints, stains, and lacquers are water-based and low-VOC. We do not use formaldehyde-based glues or flame retardants that off-gas over time.
Hardware & joinery
Metal components are powder-coated or solid brass. Joinery uses mortise-and-tenon and dowel construction wherever possible — built to outlast trends and moves.
Responsible sourcing
We audit our supply chain annually. Wood comes from forests with verified replanting programmes. We prioritise suppliers within a 500-mile radius of our production facilities.
Longevity by design
Replacement parts, spare covers, and repair guides are available for every product. We believe the most sustainable piece of furniture is one that never needs replacing.
